Mark was asked by host Joel Dommett if his bandmates Shane Filan, Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne knew he was doing the show.

The 41-year-old replied: “Obviously, trying to tell the lads I’m going to stay in London for an extra couple of days, I’m going to chill out, they’re like ‘but you have a baby in Ireland!’ So…”

Judge Jonathan Ross joked: “Everyone’s going to think you’re having an affair! You better clear the air,” with Mark replying: “I need to get home really quickly!”

Taking to Instagram after the unmasking, Mark wrote alongside a photo of him in his costume: “🤖🐰🥕🥕🥕 Overwhelmed by all the amazing feedback and comments I will read through all your messages asap ♥️♥️♥️”

“Lots of love, Robobunny aka…meeee!! What an amazing experience xx”

Nicky Byrne took to his IG Stories to react to Mark being on the show, writing: “Very proud of this guy! He smashed it every week!!”

Mushroom came in second place on the show, and it was revealed that Welsh singer Charlotte Church was behind the mask.

The winner of this season was Panda, whose true identity was Natalie Imbruglia.

Fans of the show thought Mark was robbed, as many think he deserved to win the competition.
