Kathryn Thomas has revealed she blagged her way into Bon Jovi’s hotel room by pretending to be their backing singer.
The RTE star said she is happy to talk her way into where she shouldn’t be by acting confident – just like two Irish lads who chanced their way into the Super Bowl.
And the Voice of Ireland presenter said in her Star column that her best blag was persuading security of the American band to take her to them.

She added: “Is there anything more brilliant than finding yourself somewhere you shouldn’t be?
“Fair play to Irish lads Paul McEvoy and Richard Whelan who carried out the most brilliant blag by sneaking past security to $50,000 pitch-side seats at the recent American Super Bowl.
“Their method – to look and act confident – has been my personal mantra for some bluffing over the years, including the time I ended up in the pit lane of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Silverstone.

“But my favourite blag was when I persuaded Bon Jovi security guards that I was one of the band’s backing singers.
“I ended up sitting with Bon Jovi in a private room in the Merrion Hotel for about five minutes before they asked who I was and I got turfed out.
“Worth it all the same – you could say I was livin’ on a prayer being there.”
