Joanne McNally has shared a snap with her “first boyfriend”, after confirming her split from Alan Byrne.
The newly single comedian took to Instagram to share a cute picture of herself and her first ever boyfriend Steve Earley.
She captioned the post: “My first boyfriend @steveearley, we went out for 14 days when we were approx 11.”
“We stayed the best of friends and I always assumed we would reconcile but then I sadly lost him at 21 years of age .. to the gays.”
“This morning I had him kidnapped and sent to conversion therapy ☺️ you will be mine, and I’m fully willing to lobotomise #loveislove,” she joked.
Joanne’s post comes after she recently confirmed her split from her boyfriend of two years, Alan Byrne.
Joanne and Alan met on the celebrity dating app Raya, and went on to date for two years.
The comedian confirmed their breakup on an episode of her podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me last week, which she hosts with Vogue Williams.
Joanne recounted her recent trip to Las Vegas and slipped in the fact that she and her agent were “recently single.”
She joked: “Vegas was wild, I don’t know why I had to act like I was on a stag. The reason I was going was for work, I was going to do a series of shows…”
“We threw in a bit of craic as well. Me and Christina are both recently single. Me and Alan have parted ways and Christina is recently single as well,” she revealed.
The two women embarked on the trip to “book future gigs” but got overwhelmed by the aura of “s*x in the air” in Sin City.
However, Joanne confessed: “I wasn’t really arsed, but what I will say is I knew she [Christina] was a big hit with men, but the men were chatting her up and there was a stream of them.”
“I was like ‘I’m sorry I’m here but where am I supposed to go’… Christina was doing that thing where she’s like ‘Joanne is a client and she’s doing this’ and I’m like ‘stop selling me to these random men in their 50s.’
“She was like ‘she’s a comic’ and one of the men was like ‘oh hilarious, a comic’- Christina knocked it out of the park,” she quipped.
Joanne admitted: “I was way more interested in the partying side of it. We were staying in this hotel called the Wynn, the lobby is a casino.”
“I thought we’d have to travel to the casino, at 7 am there was women there playing crabs.”
“I came down for breakfast and they were all down in their suits and ties behind the tables.”
Joanne’s record breaking comedy show ‘The Prosecco Express’ is one of the best selling comedy tours to date.
It ran for a span of 18 months, with tour dates all over the globe.
The 40-year-old is also set to take part in Channel 4’s 17th season of Taskmaster.
The show stars Greg Davies and Alex Horne with a panel of comedians that are set tasks to complete.
