Joanna Cooper bids farewell to husband Conor Murray ahead of Rugby World Cup

Joanna Cooper bid farewell to her husband Conor Murray on Thursday, as he jetted off to France for the Rugby World Cup.

The model married the Irish rugby star earlier this year, after five years together.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Joanna posted a sweet snap of Conor heading to the airport in his IRFU kit.

She captioned the post: “Off to his 4th World Cup 👏🏼☘️.”

The Limerick native plays as a scrum-half for Munster and Ireland’s national team.

It’s business as usual for the 34-year-old, after he enjoyed some time off earlier this summer for his destination wedding to Joanna in Portugal.

The couple tied the knot in the Algarve on June 5th, weeks after they legally wed in Ireland.

The ceremony took place at Lady of the Rock, a rocky peninsula overlooking the ocean, and they hosted their wedding reception at the nearby Pine Cliffs Resort.

Joanna stunned in a BERTA gown for the occasion, which she purchased from Verona Bridal.

The model also had her face painted by Charlotte Tilbury pro artist Kirstie Murphy for her big day.

The former Miss Universe Ireland announced her engagement to the rugby player last March, after four years together.

Conor, 34, proposed to Joanna, 29, while they were on holiday in Dubai.

The couple have been dating since early 2018, and moved in together during the first coronavirus lockdown in 2020.
