Jennifer Maguire has insisted that she’s much kinder than her TV persona would let on.
The RTE star may have earned a tough-as-nails reputation for her antics on Republic of Telly and The Apprentice but she admitted that the only person’s opinion she cares about is her husband Lau’s.
“There was a lot of bitchy stuff [on Republic of Telly],” she said.

“But I think we were taking the piss out of ourselves, fundamentally, first and foremost on that show.”
The Dublin native also revealed that her husband would never think of her in terms of being “cold” or a “bitch”.
“He would say I am a very positive person,” she told The Sunday Independent.
“He would probably say that I am great fun. I wouldn’t say ‘cold’ or ‘bitchy’ would be in his vocab when he would be describing me.”

“Maybe some people [would see me like that].”
Jennifer isn’t too bothered with people forming opinions of her based on what they see on TV – because she does the same thing.
“That’s the thing about being on the television or on the radio, people have their opinion on you, and I am delighted that they do.”
“I certainly have my opinion of people. It’s weird. People don’t see all of you.”
