Amid reports that Westlife are set for the mother of all reunions, Nicky Byrne has hinted the band will play the 2FM’s Xmas Ball this year.

The popular annual event is all in aid of ISPCC, and already has stellar headline acts including Hozier, Walking on Cars and Keywest.

And now 2FM and Nicky Byrne are teasing fans, hinting that Westlife could be added to the line up.

“Have we big news or just new?” Jenny teased in a video shared on 2FM’s Instagram.

“What a line up,” Nicky said. “And maybe more,” Jenny smiled, before Nicky said: “don’t stop with the gossip again.”

Nicky has been coy about the rumours, finally responding to reports of their reunion today.

Tickets for the gig go on sale Wednesday 26th of September and the concert takes place on December 14th.
