Gay Byrne set to return to TV

Gay Byrne is reportedly set to return to our TV screens in the coming months.

Fellow broadcaster Pat Kenny revealed to the Irish Mirror that Gay is set to film a new series of The Meaning of Life.

The 82-year-old is currently undergoing treatment for prostate cancer and recovering from a double hip replacement.

When asked about Gay’s health, Pat told the Irish Mirror, “I haven’t been talking to him for a few weeks, he may be in Donegal. He’s on my list of to-dos for August.

“I’m hoping to see him. I believe he’s doing another Meaning of Life series, so that’s good news.”

The national treasure hasn’t been active in the media since January 2017.
