Danny O’Donoghue has given a rare insight into his relationship with his girlfriend Suzana.
The Script star moved in with his Brazilian beau just before the lockdown last year, and admitted being with Suzana throughout the pandemic assured him that she was the right person for him.
The singer, who is notoriously private about his love life, said on Thursday morning’s 2FM Breakfast: “Me and my girlfriend are super in love.”
“[We] love watching sunsets, getting up early in the morning now. Just doing really really simple things, going for a swim. That’s what really matters to me now,” he added.
“The first lockdown was a bit of a novelty – the second was when everyone took a bit of a hit mentally. I think everybody has kind of realigned their lives to what was important and what means something to them.”
“If you were with the wrong person, you probably aren’t with them now. Life came into sharper focus.”
Danny has previously spoke about his and Suzana’s relationship on The Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy.
The 40-year-old said: “We just moved in a month before lockdown and there was a point before lockdown where we were like, ‘I know you longer in lockdown longer than in real life’.”
“It was a very surreal scenario and that’s where the song ‘I Want It All’ came from. I think everybody got that opportunity to stare down the person they’re sitting on the couch with and go, ‘Are you the right person or are you the wrong person?'”
