Amy Schumer opens up about singing in a Dublin pub: 'I humiliated myself'

Actress Amy Schumer has admitted she “humiliated” herself singing The Auld Triangle in front of a pair of newly-weds and their friends.

Performing alongside director Judd Apatow and Oscar winner Glen Hansard in the now viral clip, the US comedian revealed The Frames frontman fed her the song’s lyrics.

“We were lucky, we made those people get married, just so we could be in their photo,” she said.

“Glen gave me a verse of the song and he was telling me the words quickly before it was my turn and I humiliated myself in front of the whole bar.”

Speaking about the impromptu music session for the newly-married couple, director of Trainwreck, Judd Apatow, admitted “it was a magical moment”.

“We went to meet Glen Hansard for a pint and a couple of came in and said: ‘We just got married five minutes ago, will you sing us a song?'” he told the Sunday World.

“Then Glen produced a guitar and the whole bar started to sing, it was a magical moment.”
