Amy Huberman has opened up about her children’s sweet reaction to her pregnancy news.
The actress is expecting her third child with husband Brian O’Driscoll, who are already parents to Sadie (7) and Billy (5).
The Finding Joy star revealed how her kids took the news of a new addition joining the family, admitting they were “really excited”.
Speaking to VIP Magazine, Amy said: “Sadie keeps saying, ‘I can’t remember a thing about Billy arriving!’ And I am like: ‘No, you were about 20 months old, of course, you don’t.’”
Amy admitted she was more relaxed for her third pregnancy than her first two: “I definitely feel less nervous. I feel relaxed… maybe a bit too relaxed.
“The baby stuff is in the attic. I’ll have to send Brian up to get it. Maybe I’ll just sit there and watch him sort it while eating Callipos,” she joked, referring to her pregnancy craving.
“It has been a couple of years though, I should probably start reading some baby books! It’s fine, we will feel our way through it.”
Brian recently told Muireann O’Connell on Virgin Media One’s The Line Out that his wife was “a hoarder”, as they prepared to welcome the baby.
“I can’t wait to put the cot together and try find all the bits for that up in the attic that should be really easy.
“They’ll definitely all just be in one area where I put them away thinking, ‘oh I’ll see you in a few years time’,” he laughed.
“It’s pretty organised up in that attic. Everything has it’s place, you walk in and you don’t have to trip over anything,” Brian said jokingly.
“I literally don’t know what we’re going to do with all that stuff. My wife, I’ve realised, is quite the hoarder – ‘oh, we’ll find use for that’ or ‘put it in the attic’ is one of the phrases of 2020!”
