WATCH: Paris Hilton breaks down in tears over childhood trauma in new documentary trailer

The documentary premieres next month

Paris Hilton breaks down in tears in the trailer for her new documentary, This Is Paris.

The YouTube Originals documentary, which premieres on September 14th, will shed light on the hotel heiress’ personal life.

In the trailer, Paris says: “I feel like the whole world thinks they know me. [But] no one really knows who I am.”

“I don’t even know who I am sometimes. I didn’t used to be that way. I’m so used to like, playing a character, that it’s hard for me be normal.”

The trailer features footage of Paris when she was younger, including a home video of her getting dropped off at boarding school in Utah as a teenager.

In one clip, Paris says: “Something happened in my childhood that I’ve never talked about with anyone…”

The trailer then cuts to a clip of Paris’ sister Nicky saying: “I just heard screaming bloody murder.”

Paris then says: “But I couldn’t tell you guys, because every time I tried, I would get punished by them. I still have nightmares about it.”

“The only thing that saved my sanity was thinking about who I wanted to become when I got out of there. I just created this brand and this persona and this character, and I’ve been stuck with her ever since.”

During a camera confessional, Nicky explains: “They say [with] trauma, the mind may forget, but the body never forgets. It’s trapped in you, and it can come out whenever.”

According to the documentary’s official description, the film will follow Paris as she addresses “the heartbreaking trauma that forged who she is today”.

This Is Paris premieres on September 14th on her YouTube Channel.
