Courteney Cox has confirmed she will reprise her role as Gale Weathers in a brand new Scream movie.
The actress announced the news on Instagram, by sharing a video of the iconic villain’s black-and-white mask.
The 56-year-old played the news reporter in the original 1996 movie, and its three sequels – released in 1997, 2000 and 2011.
Courteney will star in the new movie alongside her ex-husband David Arquette, who will reprise his role as Dewey Riley in the sequel.
The fifth Scream instalment will be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.
They hope to begin production in Wilmington, North Carolina, later this year.
