Stars pay tribute as Ugly Betty creator Silvio Horta found dead aged 45

Stars have paid their respects after the news that Ugly Better creator Silvio Horta has been found dead.

According to reports, the 45-year-old died by apparent suicide.

The talented writer was the show-runner and head writer on Ugly Betty, which aired from 2006 to 2010.

Ugly Betty lead actress America Ferrara lead the tributes:

“I’m stunned and heartbroken to hear the devastating news of Ugly Betty creator, Silvio Horta’s death,” she wrote via Instagram.

“His talent and creativity brought me and so many others such joy & light. I’m thinking of his family and loved ones who must be in so much pain right now – and of the whole Ugly Betty family who feel this loss so deeply.”

Vanessa Williams also paid tribute to the late writer.

“Still in shock after hearing the tragic news,” she wrote.

“His creativity and passion will be missed by so many of us that worked with him.”
