“Thank you SNL for 7 years of laughs, love and incredible memories. It has been a dream come true,” Vanessa wrote.

The 35-year-old joined the seres in 2010 and is well-known for her characters including a parody of Jennifer Aniston’s Rachel Green from Friends.

Vanessa’s movie career has since taken off and she has recently starred in films including Trainwreck and Office Christmas party.

She can next be seen alongside Jack Black, Jenny Slate, Jason Schwartzman and Jacki Weaver in The Polka King, which premiered at Sundance earlier this year.

SNL is airing its season finale tonight, with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson hosting and Katy Perry performing.

Deadline, who were first to report Vanessa’s exit, revealed earlier this week that Bobby Moynihan is also departing the series after nine seasons.
