Ed O’Neill has revealed that Meghan Markle “grew up” on the set of his 80s sitcom, Married With Children.
When she was just a child, the Duchess of Sussex’s father Thomas Markle worked on the show as the director of photography.
Speaking on The Ellen Show, the Modern Family star said, “By the way, she [Meghan] grew up on the set of Married With Children. Did you know that? Her father was a camera operator.”
“She used to come on the set in a little Catholic school uniform. She was like 9,” Ed recalled.
The actor made the revelation during a game called ‘Who’s This?’, in which he was asked to identify a host of famous faces.
During an interview with Esquire in February 2018, Meghan opened up about growing up on the set of TV shows.
She said, “My dad was a lighting director and director of photography for Married With Children. He just retired actually last year.”
“Every day after school for 10 years, I was on the set of Married With Children, which is a really funny and perverse place for a little girl in a Catholic school uniform to grow up.”
