NBA Basketball star Kobe Bryant has died in a helicopter crash.
The incident took place earlier today in Calabasas, California.
His 13-year-old daughter Gianna Maria, a rising basketball star was also on board the flight and died in the crash.
The 41-year-old and his eldest daughter were travelling on a private helicopter with three others on board.
It’s been reported that a fire broke out when the plane crashed, and no one on board survived.
Eyewitnesses told TMZ that they heard the helicopter’s engine “sputtering” before it fell from the sky.
It has been reported by the publication that the father and daughter were on their way to the Mamba Academy for basketball practice.
The sports-star recently welcomed his fourth child with his wife Vanessa Bryant.
He played his final game for the Lakers in 2016.
They are are survived by Vanessa and their other daughters Natalia and Bianca, as well as their youngest daughter 8 month old Capri.
