Ryan Phillippe and Katy Perry just shut down rumours that they’re dating in the best way.
The singer and actor were rumoured to be flirting at Elton John’s 70th birthday party back in March, but the former husband of Reese Witherspoon was quick to squash any whispers by tweeting, “I AM NOT DATING KATY PERRY. BARELY KNOW HER.”
“PLEASE STOP FLYING HELICOPTERS OVER MY HOUSE. SHE IS NOT HERE,” he added.
Now, Katy has responded to Ryan’s hilarious comments about their rumoured romance.

After a Twitter user replied, “THATS WHAT SOME1 WHO HAS KATY PERRY IN HIS BASEMENT WOULD SAY…..” to Ryan’s tweet, Katy hilariously joked, “Can u let me out of this basement pls?”
The actor then wrote back, “Never”.
Dispelling any awkwardness, Katy then ended the conversation by writing, “Hi, nice to meet you, sorry bout that @RyanPhillippe carry on, lol.”
Ryan and his ex fiancée Paulina Slagter split last November, while Katy and British actor Orlando Bloom announced their break up in February.
News of the split was revealed after LAgoss.com exclusively published photos and videos of Orlando laughing and whispering with Erin McCabe at a pre-Oscars party.
