Demi Lovato released from hospital following overdose

The singer jetted straight to a rehab facility

Demi Lovato has been released from hospital, almost two weeks after suffering a near-fatal overdose.

According to TMZ, the songstress was discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA on Saturday.

Immediately after leaving the hospital, it’s believed Demi boarded a private plane to take her to a rehab facility outside of Californa, where she will stay for an extended period of time.

On July 24, Demi was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious.

The substance or substances that caused her apparent overdose have not been disclosed, but paramedics called to the scene administered Narcan, which is used to reverse opioid overdoses.

The news comes after Demi finally released a statement on Instagram, in which she thanked the medical team at Cedars-Sinai for keeping her alive.
