Celebrity hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons has shared how his upbringing has influenced his brand, Andrew Fitzsimons Hair Care.
The 36-year-old is known as one of Hollywood’s top stylists, working with the likes of Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Bella Hadid.
A core element of the Irish stylist’s brand is its affordability, insisting that that is the key to inclusivity.
Andrew shared why he wanted the brand and its product to be affordable: “Coming from a council estate, I wanted the girls on my road to be able to afford them, not just the Kardashians”
He continued: “If everyone can’t afford it then it’s not inclusive,” expressing how the price range of the products ties into his goal of inclusivity.
Speaking on the creation of the brand, the Dublin native said: “Having spent two decades in the hair industry, I’ve come to realise we as beauty professionals can serve clients better,”
“I made it my mission to create the first high concept, high fashion, high-performance brand, and make it a price everyone can afford.”
“There’s nothing that makes me prouder than seeing my own brand in the hands of customers back home where my journey in the hair care industry began and I’m delighted to see the demand continue to rise as we partner with so many incredible retailers in Ireland,” he added.
Andrew’s goal was to create products that make his highly desirable signature looks accessible to everyone.
This resulted in a salon-performance collection featuring 26 haircare and styling products created to allow anyone to achieve their hair goals and find their hair potential.
All products in the collection feature the proprietary AF Bonding Systemâ„¢, an innovative, protein-based complex that builds maximum strength from within and creates powerful hydrogen and ionic bonds inside the keratin hair structure to increase elasticity and flexibility, so hair is left looking shinier and feeling healthier and softer.
The core range includes six lines, the virgin repair line; the fantasy curls line; the body volume line; the prime shine line; the amethyst blonde line; and a styling line.
The brand is set to take over the Irish market as it prepares to expand and launch into multiple new Irish retail stores this month.
The products range from €12.95 to €17.95 and are available in Dunnes Stores, selected Boots Stores nationwide and online at www.boots.com, at Dublin Airport terminals 1&2, Cork Airport and at select McCauleys Pharmacies.
