RTE presenter Sinead Kennedy has admitted she’s still in her “honeymoon bubble” a year after marrying her naval officer husband Conor Kirwan.
The couple, who had been in a long-distance romance as Conor was serving on the LE Emer in Cork, are now living under the same roof.
“I’m incredibly proud of Conor. They did a family and friends day recently on his ship and I was like, ‘That’s my hubby’,” she said.

“If he ever had to travel with work I would completely support it – we’re both very encouraging of each other.
“We got through so many years not seeing each other that we can get through anything now,” she told the RTE Guide.
Now living together since Conor’s new posting in Newbridge, the 31-year-old admitted she’s enjoying the little things.
“I’m delighted with life. It’s so different now,” she said.

“We missed out on a lot of that time together for years, and small things like sitting down and having dinner together and chatting in the evenings are really lovely.
“We’re in our little honeymoon bubble – come back to me in a year,” she divulged.
Although the pair are now living together, they’ll be enjoying Christmas separately as they head to their own families for the festive season.

“I stay with Conor on Christmas Eve and then travel to Cork that night,” she revealed.
“I think everyone thought it would change, but I wouldn’t expect him to leave his family and vice-versa.
“When there’s kids involved you probably have to adjust your plans, but that’s not really on the agenda right now.”
