Hollywood star Michael Fassbender has been praised for latest performance in the final X-Men which moved the crew to tears.

Famed for his incredible acting ability, director Bryan Singer revealed the Kerry man asked not to call cut at the end of a scene which caused him and the crew to grab the Kleenex.

”[Michael] Fassbender does something in this movie … We’re at the end of the scene, and he asked me not to call cut and when the scene was over, he continued and did something that made me cry in the tent; I’ve never done that before,” he said.

“The head of my company grabbed a Kleenex. Simon Kinberg, the writer who has no emotions at all, actually became emotional.

”It was so beautiful, I’ve never seen an actor do this for me and [Fassbender] just took the scene to a whole other level. It’s a heartbreaking scene, not a typical comic book movie scene at all – so let’s hope it makes the cut,” he admitted.

Speaking at the San Pedro International Film Festival, the American film maker admitted the latest flick in the franchise will be longer than previous offerings

”I think it’s going to be a longer ‘X-Men’ movie. The ‘X-Men movies, I usually I keep under two hours. This one I may actually let be a longer movie because it’s sort of a wrap-up of six movies,” he said.
