We revealed this week that Dublin native Jeremy McConnell Cooke is set for a stint in this year’s Celebrity Big Brother.
From Perez Hilton to George Galloway and Katie Price, the CBB house has seen it’s fare share of colourful characters over the years.
So, just in case you weren’t already familiar with Jeremy (and you probably weren’t), here are 5 things you need to know about the future diary room aficionado.
1. He has done reality TV before
Jeremy previously appeared on MTV’s ill-fated reality show Beauty School Cop Outs.
The series followed a group of youngsters in Manchester as they attended beauty school and learned the tools of the trade and even featured Scarlett Moffatt who later went on to fame with Channel 4’s Gogglebox.
As Jeremy isn’t currently working as a hairdresser, we can only hold up our hands and weep that beauty school didn’t work out.
Hopefully he’ll have better luck with Big Brother, that diary room always needs a good hoovering after the housemates have left.
2. He was in Mr. Ireland

Jeremy was previously a contestant in world renowned male beauty pageant Mr. Ireland.
We’re not sure how well he did, but it’s the taking part that counts.
We have no doubt that the smoldering stares and pouts he learned from competing in the cut-throat competition will help him win over some female fans during his stay in the house.
3. He previously dated Holly Carpenter
While she may be loved up with Danny O’Reilly now, Holly had an eighteen month romance with Jeremy during their teenage years.
The former Miss Ireland remained tight lipped about Jeremy when he appeared on Beauty School Cop Outs and the 25-year-old didnt blame her.
“We dated when we were 18. We’ve become different people. I don’t really know anything about her and she doesn’t really know anything about me,” he previously said.
4. He claims to have slept with “all the good looking models in Ireland”

As if Holly wasn’t enough, it looks like Jeremy has a thing for models.
The Dubliner made the claim on his MTV bio although he didn’t name names.

Jeremy is good pals with Marc O’Neill who Big Brother fans will remember from last years summer series.
Marc caused quite the stir during his stay in the house for winding up his other housemates and for rarely wearing clothes.
Jeremy took to Twitter to wish his friend well as he recently moved to America.
