Aisling O’Loughlin has opened up about being a mum and admitted she’s not the perfect parent.
The Xpose host is mum to 3-year-old Patrick and 1-year-old Louis and revealed she sometimes wishes parenting was a job she could take in shifts.
“In an ideal world, parenting is kind of a gig that I feel like I am good at for four hours,” she said.

“After four hours, I am happy to hand over the baton. Anything longer than that I start to get a little stir crazy.”
“There are days when you lose your patience and there are days when you are overtired,” she told The Sunday World Magazine.
“Your patience snaps or you might shout or respond to something in a way that you know wan’t a cool or appropriate way to to respond.”

Aisling revealed she is suspicious of parents who claim that they have it all together.
“It is the person that says they are not stressed who you look at and say, ‘Really?’ I don’t think I’ve ever pretended that all is rosey in my world,” she said.
“Everything is fine and I love my kids, but at the same time I have challenges, I have obstacles. There are days when I am not the best parent.”
