Mel C clears up rumours about the Spice Girls performing at the royal wedding

The singer has set the record straight about their performance at the royal wedding.

Mel C has claimed that the Spice girls were never invited to the royal wedding.

During an interview with Australian radio programme Fitzy & Wippa, she confirmed that that group are not attending, or performing.

In the interview, the 44-year old cleared up rumours surrounding a possible performance by the 90’s pop band that a fellow bandmate began. She said: “I should clear up the invitation part of it – we were never invited!”. This comes as a contradiction to Mel B’s previous claim that all five spice girls were invited.

The program’s producer then asked: “So you’re not performing? And you’re not going as guest?”

Mel C responded:”No. We were never invited, we were never asked to perform… and I was a little bit annoyed, actually!”

Mel B had revealed on the US talk show ‘The Real’, in February that she was invited to the wedding, as were the other spice girls. However, it has now been revealed that only Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner are invited.

Other Celebrity guests have arrived in London for the wedding, including Meghan’s on-screen ‘Suits’ husband Patrick J. Adams.

Meghan and Harry are set to marry tomorrow at Windsor Castle at 12pm.

The recipe for the couple’s wedding cake has been revealed today and they have announced who will walk Meghan down the aisle in her father’s absence.
