U2’s ex-manager Paul McGuinness has revealed the producer of their flop musical Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark dropped dead during a business meeting.
The musical, which has already lost €45 million due to a number of problems, has been unsuccessful for the band.
And Paul said the producing dying in front of him should have been a sign that things were going to end badly:
Flop: The musical has been costly for the band
“Generally it was a financial disaster and starting in the early stages when the original producer actually dropped dead in the course of a meeting with me and the Edge – that should have been a sign.”
“Later on Michael Cohl took over the producer and he fought a very good fight and he raised the rest of the money.

“But it did cost a ridiculous amount of money and Broadway is a different world now,” he said.
Although the musical was a flop on Broadway, it will now re-open in Las Vegas.
