WATCH: Kanye West interrupts phone call with wife Kim Kardashian to chat to paparazzo

The rapper has been at the centre of a media storm in recent weeks

Kanye West cut a phone call short with his wife Kim Kardashian on Tuesday to have a warm chat with a paparazzo.

The 40-year-old, who has been at the centre of a media storm in recent weeks, was walking with a friend in Calabasas while chatting to his reality star wife on the phone.

However, Kanye told Kim, “Babe, let me talk to you in person, please?”, when he was approached by a paparazzo.

The cameraman asked Kanye about the “crazy threats” he’s received lately, referring to comments from Daz Dillinger, the rapper who told Crips gang members to “f*** Kanye up” after he showed support for President Donald Trump on Twitter.

Kanye replied, “We love everybody and it’s all love, really,”

The Life of Pablo rapper went on to shake the paparazzo’s hand, and ask him his name and if he has any children.

The father-of-three went on to establish that the paparazzo works to feed his family, something he didn’t understand until he had kids himself.

Kanye and Kim are parents to daughter North, 4, son Saint, 2, and their and three-month-old baby daughter Chicago.

“When I first came out to LA, I didn’t have a family, so having a family gave me a whole new respect for the dads, bro,” Kanye said.

“You don’t feel like being in Calabasas shooting somebody and asking questions like that and stuff. But, you actually have a very important role and I feel like your role is not respected, and I feel like everybody’s role in society is important.”

The pap thanked Kanye for his kind words, before the rapper asked to give the man a hug, and requested that the video of their exchange be posted online.

The news comes after Kanye landed himself in hot water over comments he made about slavery during his appearance on TMZ Live.
