Meghan Markle is making her big screen return as a ‘party girl’ in racy film

The former actress' film has been picked up in the US

Meghan Markle is set to make her big screen return this year, as a fun-loving party girl in a pretty racy film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former actress’ 2011 film The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down has been picked up by Artist Rights Distribution for North America.

The company are reportedly planning to release the film, as well as other movies it has recently acquired, later this year.

The feature, which was written and created by Paul Sapiano, follows a group of twenty-somethings on a night out in Los Angeles.

The Duchess of Sussex stars as a party girl named Dana, and it was filmed shortly before Meghan landed her role as Rachel Zane on Suits.

Meghan’s appearance in the film will definitely raise eyebrows within royal circles, as her character appears to ‘snort’ a mystery substance in one of the scenes.

The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down was actually intended to be a series when it was released in 2011, but it only lasted one episode as TV executives failed to give it the green light for a whole series.

However, Artist Rights Distribution is planning to re-release the episode as a film later this year.
