Ariana Grande has been left “heartbroken”, following the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller.
The rapper was sadly found dead at the age of 26 last week, due to a suspected drug “overdose”.
While Ariana has not yet commented on his death, the star did post a touching photo of her former flame on Instagram.
A source has since told UsWeekly that Ariana “is absolutely heartbroken.”
They continued, “Her entire family is in shock too. They all grew close to Mac during his relationship with Ari.
“He was a huge part of her life, and they always shared such a special bond. She wanted nothing but positivity in Mac’s life after they broke up.”
Mac and Ariana dated for two years, before announcing their shock split in May.
In a statement at the time, Ariana said, “I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us!”
“Unconditional love is not selfish. It is wanting the best for that person even if at the moment, it’s not you. I can’t wait to know and support you forever and i’m so proud of you!!”
A few weeks after she announced her split from Mac, Ariana got engaged to SNL comedian Pete Davidson.
Following the news of Mac’s death, Ariana was forced to disable comments on her Instagram, after viscous trolls posted nasty messages accusing her of causing Mac’s apparent overdose.
