Amber Heard’s attorney calls Johnny Depp ‘shameful’ following his claims denying abuse allegations

Amber Heard’s attorney has called Johnny Depp “shameful” following his claims denying her abuse allegations.

The actress was married to the 55-year-old from 2015 to 2017 and applied for a domestic violence restraining order against Johnny in 2016.

In a recent interview with GQ the father-of-two denied the accusations made against him and told the publication that he felt like he was turned “from Cinderella into Quasimodo”.

The actor alleged that police found no evidence of physical abuse on Amber’s body, as he told GQ: “I mean, they spoke to the police, but the police saw nothing and they offered her an emergency medical technician. She said no. Police see nothing on her.”

Johnny received a huge amount of backlash on social media following the interview and his ex-wife’s attorney has now spoken out about the actor’s claims.

In a statement released to Page Six, her attorney said: “It is outrageous that GQ never spoke to any of the multiple witnesses to Mr. Depp’s physical abuse of Ms. Heard prior to publishing its article.”

“If GQ had done even a basic investigation into Mr. Depp’s claims, it would have quickly realized that his statements are entirely untrue,” the attorney continued.

“Mr. Depp has blatantly disregarded the parties’ confidentiality agreement and yet has refused to allow Ms. Heard to respond to his baseless allegations, despite repeated requests that she be allowed to do so,” the statement read.

Amber’s attorney also stated that the actor’s claims has continued “his psychological abuse of Ms. Heard, who has attempted to put a very painful part of her life firmly in her past. One need only look at the physical evidence to draw the proper conclusion.”

An attorney for Johnny also released a short statement in which they defended the actor’s interview: “In his GQ interview, Mr. Depp is simply defending himself against Ms. Heard’s lingering false abuse accusations.”

The couple settled their divorce last year as Johnny paid $7 million to his ex-wife, which she partially donated to charity.
