He was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, but Martin Short is extremely proud of his Irish heritage.<\/p>\n

The comedian discussed his Irish roots with LAgoss.com at the Oscar Wilde Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday night, where he was being honoured.<\/p>\n

“My father was born and raised in\u00a0Crossmaglen, County Armagh, one of 11,” he said. “And one went to Birmingham, England, my uncle Frank, and his daughter became Secretary of State, Clare Short.<\/p>\n
