Moone Boy star David Rawle has opened up about Chris O’Dowd being a “terrible mentor” – in jest of course.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Goss.ie<\/strong>, the 15-year-old, who made his acting debut on the Sky One show, admitted the Hollywood actor’s “down-to-earth” nature made all the difference on set – especially when directing the final season.<\/p>\n

After working on three series with the Bridesmaid star, the Leitrim native couldn’t help but admire his work ethic.<\/p>\n

“That would be terrible, he’d be a terrible mentor,” he joked.<\/p>\n

“Definitely, Chris is really down-to-earth, he’s really sound and nice.\u00a0It doesn’t really matter even if they’re behind schedule he was always nice to people and always really calm.<\/p>\n

“He even directed the third series, that’s a huge commitment – he wrote it, he was in it and he directed it, imagine?” he added.<\/p>\n

“I probably wouldn’t be able to do that – I don’t know how long we did it for, maybe 8 weeks, and you’d just be fed up the whole time. However he just did it with such grace, it was great.”<\/p>\n
