Moone Boy&#039;s David Rawle: &#039;Chris O&#039;Dowd would be a terrible mentor&#039;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Moone Boy star David Rawle has opened up about Chris O&#8217;Dowd being a &#8220;terrible mentor&#8221; &#8211; in jest of course.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <strong>Goss.ie<\/strong>, the 15-year-old, who made his acting debut on the Sky One show, admitted the Hollywood actor&#8217;s &#8220;down-to-earth&#8221; nature made all the difference on set &#8211; especially when directing the final season.<\/p>\n<p>After working on three series with the Bridesmaid star, the Leitrim native couldn&#8217;t help but admire his work ethic.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That would be terrible, he&#8217;d be a terrible mentor,&#8221; he joked.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-post-pic wp-image-27319\" src=\"https:\/\/media.goss.ie\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Moone-Boy-Premiere-2-620x434.jpg\" alt=\"Moone Boy Premiere 2\" width=\"620\" height=\"434\" \/><\/p>\n<h6>Mentor: David admitted Chris was a great mentor to have on the Moone Boy set | BRIAN MCEVOY<\/h6>\n<p>&#8220;Definitely, Chris is really down-to-earth, he&#8217;s really sound and nice.\u00a0It doesn&#8217;t really matter even if they&#8217;re behind schedule he was always nice to people and always really calm.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He even directed the third series, that&#8217;s a huge commitment &#8211; he wrote it, he was in it and he directed it, imagine?&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I probably wouldn&#8217;t be able to do that &#8211; I don&#8217;t know how long we did it for, maybe 8 weeks, and you&#8217;d just be fed up the whole time.
