I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Cassie and Diddy have reached a settlement one day after lawsuit was filed, The New York Times reports. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HscnuIiws2\">pic.twitter.com\/HscnuIiws2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Pop Base (@PopBase) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PopBase\/status\/1725724631661990021?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 18, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>This comes after a recent report by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/11\/16\/arts\/music\/sean-combs-diddy-cassie-rape-lawsuit.html\">The New York Times<\/a> had revealed that <a href=\"https:\/\/goss.ie\/la-showbiz\/diddy-accused-of-alleged-rape-and-abuse-by-ex-cassie-in-new-lawsuit-359358\">the R&amp;B singer had accused the rapper of alleged rape and repeated physical abuse.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, said in a legal document that was filed in Manhattan&#8217;s Federal District Court: &#8220;After years in silence and darkness,\u00a0I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In the lawsuit, the 37-year-old claimed that Diddy allegedly controlled and abused her for over a decade.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit accused Diddy of allegedly threatening to suppress her music if she did not obey his &#8220;violent&#8221; orders.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-157246\" src=\"https:\/\/goss.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/cassie.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"610\" height=\"603\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goss.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/cassie.png 610w, https:\/\/goss.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/cassie-300x297.png 300w, https:\/\/goss.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/cassie-425x420.png 425w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The suit explained that the mother-of-two never went to the police because she feared it \u201cwould merely give Mr. Combs another excuse to hurt her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 54-year-old had denied the &#8220;offensive and outrageous allegations\u201d against him.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the suit, a lawyer for the rapper, Ben Brafman, said: \u201cMr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations.
