X Factor hopeful Janet Grogan has revealed how she missed out on superstardom – despite becoming a web sensation.
The Dublin singer – who wowed the judges on Sunday – has got more than 22 million hits on YouTube after teaming up with R’n’B star Xavier Naidoo.
But German song Alles Kann Besser Werden – which she penned herself – didn’t end up with a record deal for herself.
She said: “I thought, yeah, this is my big break, professionally and financially, but it wasn’t at all. The industry has totally changed.
“When it was released it got a lot of radio play but, unfortunately, with the internet these days you know how it goes.”

The Tallaght singer, 26, wowed the judges and got four yeses with her performance of Bonnie Raitt’s I Can’t Make You Love Me in her X Factor audition.
But Janet admitted she only cared about what one person had to say – Simon Cowell.
“I actually did make an effort to look at the other judges but he was like ‘no, me’,” she told Today FM.
“He was a bit offended because I stopped serenading him I think!”
