RTE star Eamon Dunphy was a bit shocked to find out that he was on live TV – after saying the word “f**k”.
The soccer commentator presumed they were still in an ad break during this evening’s match he was on the panel for.
And the 68-year-old had to be told that they were actually live on TV, prompting him to ask: “Will I apologise for that?”
Later Eamon did apologise though, telling viewers: “I’d just like to apologise to anybody. I thought we were on an ad break and I used a four-letter word.
“I’m very, very sorry for the offence I’m sure I caused some people. It won’t happen again.”
But we presume this – above – is how RTE will want Eamon to be on air from now on.
