Donald and Melania Trump shared their first dance as President and First Lady of the United States at the Inauguration Ball.
Despite the first lady dazzling in an ivory gown and the President donning a traditional tuxedo, social media users still called the dance ‘the most awkward first dance ever’.
Twitter users compared the awkward dance to a ‘high school formal’.

At points in the song, Melania and Trump took breaks to wave at the crowd, while continuing to sway together.
Trump even started to fist bump at one point during the performance.
