Strictly's Brendan Cole: 'Daniel will impress with his waltz'

Professional dancer Brendan Cole has revealed Daniel O’Donnell will impress with his waltz on this weekend’s show.

Performing on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, Brendan admitted the Donegal crooner might find the coming weeks difficult.

“I was with his for rehearsal three weeks ago just at the start and he was doing a bit of waltzing,” he said.

“His first dance is waltz, he’s going to be beautiful at it but week two and three – we’ll have to see how that goes.”

Speaking to The Nicky Byrne Show on 2fm, the New Zealand native opened up about the singer’s positive presence on the reality show.

“I didn’t actually see lovely Daniel [at rehearsals] but he’s a gent isn’t he? He just walks around so happy and smiley. He’s very nice person to have on the show,” he gushed.

The 53-year-old will take to the dancefloor this Saturday to waltz to Ruby Murray’s When Irish Eyes Are Smiling alongside his partner Kristina Rihanoff.
