Spin 103.8 presenter's car covered in ACID after promoting marriage equality vote

A Dublin radio presenter has been the victim of anti-gay “warped individuals”, after his car was covered in acid.

Spin 103.8 host Riyadh Khalaf had been openly promoting the marriage equality vote over the last few months, and believes this is why his car was vandalised.

“This morning I woke up to find that someone had poured acid on my car and on my parent’s cars too,” he said.

“It was a malicious act on my family alone. The only reason for this can be down to our recent work for equality and how public it was.

“My car was given to me by my grandmother after she passed away so it hurts to see the damage, but at the end of the day folks.. We won, we have equality and Ireland is a more loving and inclusive place,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

“A small group of sick and morally warped individuals will not change us or what we have all achieved. If this is the cost for a new Ireland then it is a tiny price to pay. Cameras are going up today.. Just incase,” he added.
