My Transformation With Gold Fever Hair Extensions

ali hair after

I have been getting hair extensions for the last five years, and this is why I will never stop getting them.

Over the years I went from bonds to micro-beads, clip ins to halos, and now I’m fully committed to my amazing keratin bonds from Gold Fever Hair Extensions.

The difference between a luxury hair extension brand like Gold Fever and other brands – yes they are a bit higher in price, but they last longer, look and feel healthier and they don’t damage your hair.

A huge amount of celebrities are fans of the brand, with the likes of Georgia Salpa, Rosanna Davison, Roz Purcell and Girls Aloud star Kimberely Walsh all wearing the hair extensions.

When I first starting getting hair extensions I had gone through a year of heavily damaged hair.

After having my hair pretty much white-blonde for three years my hair started to break and I went brunette. My hair broke so much it was the shortest it had ever been – so cue hair extensions.

Initially I got hair extensions just to cover up my damaged hair, but now my hair is back in great condition, I just use hair extensions to bring extra volume and change up your style.

With The Gossies next week I wanted to go for my longest hair extensions to date, so I opted for the Gold Fever 50cm and I’m officially in love.

I went to the amazing Ceira Lambert’s hair salon in Shankill, Dublin and the team worked their magic.

After getting my five month hair extensions out (with no damage) I got in my 50cm mixed brunette strands, and I felt like Rapunzel.

First things first I’ll tell you if you want to get Hair Extensions you have to take care of them. Those long luscious locks won’t look after themselves.

Here’s some tips to keeping your hair extensions looking perfect.

  • Put your hair in a plait/low pony tail at night (this stops knotting while you sleep)
  • Separate your bonds yourself after back-combing your hair
  • Never condition your roots (but condition the hell out of your ends)
  • Get yourself some soft thistle brushes to use on your bonds
  • Keep them curly – extensions always look best wavy (I’m obsessed with the InStyler)

Enjoy!
