Keith Barry on new ITV show: 'I never thought it would work'

Magician Keith Barry has opened up about the pressure of his new quiz show.

The 38-year-old is starring in the new TV3 and ITV show that will see five strangers take on apparently simple challenges in a bid to win cash.

However, the twist is that they will be hypnotised by Keith, making the tasks more difficult, talking about the challenge the TV star admitted that it was all on him to make it work.

“I am not being facetious when I say this but it all rests on my shoulder.

“I think they met a few UK hypnotists before they met me and they couldn’t make it work.

“It’s a weird concept and when I heard it I thought ‘this is never going to work’, but it does,” the father-of-two told the RTE Guide.

With all his success, the father-of-two revealed his not the biggest spender and prefers to invest in his hobby, fishing.

“Fishing. I would spend €500 on a fishing rod. Salmon fishing can be very expensive, I’ll have you know…

“As I say to the wife, would you rather me down the pub with the lads, or going fishing?” he laughed.
