Jim Sheridan reveals he gave Vincent Browne a CAMEO in his new movie

Jim Sheridan has revealed he gave a cameo to Vincent Browne for his latest flick The Secret Scripture, but even with such a small part, the TV star still managed to cause “trouble” on set.

Jim’s latest big screen offering has an all star hollywood cast made up of Eric Mana, Rooney Mara and Vanessa Redgrave joined by Irish stars Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Jack Reynor and Peter Coonan.

However, Jim told Goss.ie it was Vincent who made a big impression on him.

“Vincent Browne was causing trouble like he always does. He has a tiny cameo. He’s a doctor, he had so little time that he had to run off but I love him, I love the way he asks the hard questions, he’s the only one in Ireland who does.”

“You can just see that can’t you? ‘Jim can I have a part, it’s Vincent Browne’, he didn’t audition.”

Speaking about the all star cast for the flick, the  In America director revealed he hopes the famous cast will bring more big budget movies to Ireland.

“It’s great, Theo James is in it who I love. Rooney Mara was a treat to work with it. I’m glad to get them here. It’s good to have them, it’s gives us a bit of a lift and maybe other movies will come.”
