It’s been reported Jack Reynor has lost out on nabbing the Han Solo role for the upcoming Disney Star Wars spin-off.
According to Deadline, little known American actor Alden Ehrenreich is currently in negotiations to star in the flick – with an official announcement to be expected soon.
Landing one of the most sought-after parts in the industry, the Hail, Caesar! star pipped Wicklow native Jack to the post for coveted role.

Despite making it to the shortlist, Jack missed out on the part alongside The Kingsman star Taron Egerton.
The Sing street actor had made no secret about wanting the iconic fantasy role role – having previously said it would blow his “f**king mind”.
The film is scheduled for a 2018 release with production to be start in January 2017.
