Christy Dignam’s family have had to deny rumours that the Aslan singer passed away.
The Dublin star was rushed to hospital this week after a suspected brain seizure, and last night rumours circulated that he had died.
Christy’s daughter Keira took to Facebook to clear up the speculation.
“Thanks so much to everyone for your support and well wishes, thankfully rumours are not true that my da is dead,” she wrote.
“It’s hard enough for us to try to cope with everything so please try to have some respect for him and us before spreading rumours.
“We appreciate people who care, and understand that most is genuine concern, but I’ve young kids who are worried about their grandad and an elderly grandfather who is worried about his son.”
This weekend Keira had said the family were hoping Christy didn’t end up with severe brain damage.
