Domhnall Gleeson has been praised by his fellow Star Wars co-star Gwendoline Christie as “absolutely hilarious” and “exceptionally talented”.
The Game of Thrones star, who plays Captain Phasma in the sci-fi series alongside Domhnall’s villainous character General Hux, admits that she wasn’t expecting the Irish man to be so funny.
“Domhnall Gleeson is absolutely hilarious and a truly brilliant actor and exceptionally talented.

“He’s just so funny and I didn’t expect to laugh so much on set as I did with him.
“He’s a very captivating personality and very magnetic. You just want to be around him because he always has an interesting take on things,” she told RTÉ TEN.
The news comes as Domhnall recently revealed that before he took on his Star Wars role he hired a private room in a Dublin cinema to binge watch the original Star Wars trilogy as he wasn’t a huge fan of the series when he was younger.
