Irish presenter Anna Daly has gushed about her ‘two new telly husbands’ Simon Delaney and Ivan Yates on her new TV3 weekend shows Saturday AM and Sunday AM.
The Dubliner was speaking at the launch of Cheerios Childline Breakfast to raise awareness and funds for Childline, who need €3.5 million annually to keep its lines open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The TV3 star had nothing but good things to say about her co-hosts and insisted that she didn’t have a favourite between the two of them as they are both “very different characters, and very funny.”
“At the moment I don’t [have a favourite], I like them for different reasons actually,” she told Goss.ie.

“Simon brings that Saturday giddiness and fun to the show,” she said.
“Ivan brings a wealth of experience in terms of his political career, [being] an ex-minister, he has amazing contacts and he’s not afraid to have a bit of fun as well, and be controversial, which I quite like actually.”
Speaking about her new show, she described the difference between working on Ireland AM and hosting her own weekend show.

“It’s lovely to branch out and to do what I’ve wanted to do for a while now, so [I’m] really enjoying it, it gives me a nice bit of balance between home and children and work life.
“The dynamic is great, the ratings are brilliant… and we’re only 3 weeks in, so all round very happy and enjoying it, most importantly.”
The presenter also revealed that she’s always up for a new challenge when asked about potentially hosting something like the IFTAs in the future.

“Never say never I suppose. You know, I’m always up for a new opportunity and a new challenge,” she told Goss.ie.
