“I did it [created the theme] the year before, I’m so passionate about the Toy show so they said ‘OK’ then we thrashed things around a bit so I said ‘are we OK? Are we going to do this?’ and they said ‘yes’.
“So it’s a movie and a book and that’s all your getting,” he revealed to Goss.ie at the Web Summit.
Apart from showbiz guests and hilarious interactions with the toy testers, viewers are glued to Ryan’s choice of Christmas jumper.
A much tweeted about festive commodity, the RTE Radio One host admitted this year’s garments are “wild”.
“There is something happening in jumper land that I didn’t think was possible so I say to those that give a flying flute about jumpers, standby. Prepare for the horror that awaits.”
Meanwhile, the broadcaster revealed he has already filmed the ad for the iconic show – admitting it involves man’s best little friends, puppies.
“Yesterday, I filmed the ad for the Toy Show, which involved, I’m not sure if I’m allowed say that, involved real life puppies, it was the cutest thing ever,” he smiled.
