EXCLUSIVE! Kim Kardashian confirms Irish heritage

The list of celebrities claiming to have Irish heritage has just got longer Goss.ie can reveal reality megastar Kim Kardashian has discovered she’s from Ireland.

The wife of rapper Kanye West has apparently signed onto family history show Who Do You Think You Are? to discover more about her Irish patronage.

Sources close to show have admitted that the mum-of-one has been working on the show for some time, starting her research when she landed in the Emerald Isle for her Honeymoon last year.

Though many believed the E! channel star went to Portlaoise to see a movie, it was actually a cover as the stunning brunette met with local historians to find out more about her great-great grandmother.

Kim’s family is said to hail from Stradbally, Co. Laois – famed spot of Electric Picnic and swinger parties alike, where her great-great grandmother Kitty O’Dasiocht’s family owned a cattle farm.

An insider from the show told Goss.ie: “Kim’s great-great grandmother’s family owned a cattle farm and hired an Armenia man as a farm hand.”

“We’ve learnt from archived documents, the man came to Ireland to learn English and then their eyes met across the yard, one thing lead to another and Kitty ended up going back to Armenia with him,” the source said.

Famed for her gift of the gab and sense of humour, Kim can thank her Irish background for these unique traits.

The star has been coy about the project only hinting towards her involvement in the show when with her close circle of friends.

Presidential affair: Kim apparently was persuaded by President Obama to research her heritage

According to US reports, Kim first got interested in finding out more about her Irish heritage after a White House Dinner with President Barrack Obama.

President Obama, who is known for his Moneygall, Co. Offaly roots, persuaded the star to find out more about her Celtic ancestry when she mentioned her great-great grandmother was Irish.

To celebrate the news, Goss.ie has learned Stradbally Town Council have commissioned a stand alone statue of the LA star in the village to coincide with the première of the programme.
