RTE presenter Derek Mooney had admitted he would return “immediately” to his radio slot if it was offered to him.
The popular radio star left his afternoon show on RTE Radio 1 last December, with Ray D’Arcy taking over the slot.
“I still don’t know if I made the right decision,” Derek admitted.

“If they said to me tomorrow morning, ‘Would you like to go back?’ I’d go back immediately. 100pc,” he told the RTE Guide.
Meanwhile Derek admitted he’s barely listened to Ray’s show.
“I’m not curious, because you’ll only start thinking he’s better or he’s worse or I’d do it this way of that,” he said.

“But I did meet Ray in RTÉ before his show started. He stood up from his desk and said: ‘Can we just get something straight? You wanted to leave, right?’
“I said I did and I wished him… the best of luck,” he added.
