Dublin actor Brendan Gleeson has been cast in new film The Great Getaway.
The film is reportedly a Scottish historical epic, and it’s also rumoured to star Twilight franchise actress Kristen Stewart.
The two have been tipped for the film about the famous 18th-century flight of Bonnie Prince Charlie.

According to the Scotsman, the historical epic will shoot this June in Scotland and will depict scenes from the battle of Culloden.
This is not the first time the Malahide native has appeared in a Scottish historical epic with Brendan having starred in the Oscar-winning film Braveheart alongside Mel Gibson.
It is not yet known who Brendan will play in the blockbuster but Hollywood actress Kristen is said to have been approached for the role of Flora MacDonald.

Flora MacDonald was a member of a family of Hebridean Jacobite sympathisers who helped Bonnie Prince Charlie during his flight to Skye.
Meanwhile, The Great Getaway has not yet cast the roles of Charlie or Cumberland however a number of Hollywood A-Listers are said to be in talks for the coveted parts.
