Hozier has revealed that he wrote his latest single with his ex girlfriend.
The Bray native said Someone New is a song about love which he penned with his former flame and admitted:
“It’s all about love at its most. Futile and shallow and useless. And awkwardly I wrote it with an ex-girlfriend,” he added.
The revelation came after Hozier played in Sydney at the iHeart Radio live event.

According to reports Dublin based soul singer Sallay Matu Garnett better known as Loah is named as the co-writer of Someone New.
The songstress also went to Trinity college like the Grammy-nominated star, studying pharmacy, and is currently gigging around Ireland.
Meanwhile Hozier has been performing non stop since landing in Australia.
His tour Down Under comes after he scooped a coveted award  for his song Take Me to Church which was named Alternative Rock Song of the Year at the iHeart Radio Music Awards in Los Angeles last weekend.
