Amanda Byram has admitted she cut out some of her favourite things in order to keep the perfect figure.

The TV presenter is focused on healthy eating and working out, and has even launched her own website amandabyram.com to promote her healthy lifestyle.

And now the Clontarf native has admitted she cut a huge amount out of her diet in order to stay trim.

“I spent most of my youth – teens, 20s and early-30s – wasted on every fad diet and the obsession to be skinny,” she explained.

“I’ve learned the hard way this can only end badly. Now coming into my 42nd year I know my body is precious.

“It needs to be nurtured. It’s been really healthy for a couple of years now,” she told Your Fitness magazine.

“I quit alcohol for the most part almost two years ago and while that was difficult for a period of time, I’ve never felt better. I indulge every now
and then but only on occasion,” she admitted.

Meanwhile the TV star admitted she hasn’t “eaten sugar or dairy or processed foods for a long time.”
